The special edition Saleen/Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang celebrates the racing success of Parnelli Jones. The limited edition Mustang reflect the same old style as always, but with a modern twist that includes a Saleen 302 cid V8 three valve engine. The engine is powerful and powers out 370 horsepower at 6000 RPM and 370 feet pounds of torque at 4000 RPM. The engine has a high compression valve train so it makes driving much more fun, and powerful. The flywheel is made of aluminum and the crankshaft, rods, and forged pistons all work together with the high compression engine. Also, Saleen's PowerFlash ™ technology results in the outstanding calibrations of this vehicle.
Saleen 302 valve covers are also utilized in the new edition as well as an exhaust system that increases performance and emits the typical Saleen sound. If all of this sounds good so far then you might as well like Grabber Orange, because it's the only color the limited edition Mustang comes in. A shaker hood with a black stripe, black trunk deck, racing hood pins, and 302 stripes are all reminiscent of the days of old.
The exterior design also includes a front facia with air dam and billet gas cap racing style, rear fascia, side skirts, replica wing from 1970, rear window quarter panels, and a chrome trimmed trunk license plate panel. Static decals are available as well that boast number 15, which was Parnelli's racing number as well as Ford's signature blue oval. These decals can be added or removed at any time.
The Limited Edition also sports 19 x 9 front racing wheels with 19 x 10 rear racing wheels. These Minilite-style wheels are sport a Saleen/Parnelli Jones Limited Edition center cap. The Pirelli 275x 40 x 19 front tires and the 285 x 40 x 19 rear tires are controlled by the powerful 14 inch Saleen brakes.
The Saleen/Parnelli Jones Limited Edition is available in the fall of 2007 and costs approximately $50,000.
