- NOISE - HEARD IN PASSENGER COMPARTMENT COMING FROM FUEL PUMP
|
| Publication Date: MARCH 23, 1994 |
ISSUE:
A noise heard in the passenger compartment may be coming from the electric fuel pump inside the fuel tank. The gerotor pump, a carryover from previous models, can generate check valve noise during operation.
ACTION:
Replace the in-tank fuel pump with a quieter-operating "guided check valve" pump to reduce the check valve noise. Refer to the 1994 Mustang Service Manual, Section 10-01, for service details.
