ISSUE:
The Headlamp Assembly removal procedure in the Service Manual is incorrect.
ACTION:
When service to the Headlamp Assembly is required, refer to the following Service Procedure for removal and installation procedures.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY REMOVAL
- Remove scrivet and raise the sight shield panel to gain access to the back of the headlamp assembly. Refer to Figure 1.

- Disconnect the headlamp electrical plug.
- Remove one (1) nut retaining the side marker lamp. Remove the side marker lamp by pulling it straight out. Refer to Figure 2.

- Remove headlamp mounting clip from upper outboard adjusting screw. Refer to Figure 3.

- Squeeze the retaining tabs on the remaining headlamp screws, then push the studs forward to release the headlamp assembly. Refer to Figure 4.

HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
- Align the adjusting screws with the guides and push the headlamp assembly straight back until the lock tabs engage. Refer to Figure 5.

- Install the headlamp mounting clip.
- Install the side marker lamp.
- Reconnect the headlamp electrical connector.
- Reposition the sight shield and re-install the scrivet.
- Adjust the headlamp aim if installing a new headlamp assembly.
