I just wanted to know if I were to go to a 1.7 ratio rocker would I have to change my push rods because of a shorter or longer size difference? and the stock rocker ratio is 1.6 right? thanks a bunch..

Yes, the stock ratio is 1.6 and from my experience you do not need different pushrods me and my buddy both used our stock pushrods for our 1.7s and everything seems to run fine just make sure the rocker arms are adjusted correctly.

I'm just wanting to clarify the answer was "yes" to stock rocker being 1.6 and "no" to changing pushrods for 1.7. I had to read the answer about 3 times because I thought he was saying "yes" to the first question the guy asked. LOL

Only for stud mounted rockers are the ones that are a bitch. Pedestal ones are easy just torque em down for 18ft/lbs at zero lash.

I read in Fast fords and Muscle Mustangs to set you roller rockers, you spin the push rod(stock size) and tighten the rocker untill you snug the push rod. Then you tighten the rocker. From this point, if it takes less than one full turn, you are good, if it takes more than one full turn, you have to shim the rocker up untill it takes less then one full turn. Then you torqe the bols to 20-25ft/lbs.
