I have a '03 GT with a Mach 460 system. I am wanting to install an amp and sub in the trunk. Does anyone know where would be the easiest place to splice into for the input for the amp? Thanks.

get a amp wiring kit, it should come directly from your battery.

fourtwozero, I was actually refering to the audio input. Where to tap into for the actual music that goes into your amp. by the way, I like the name....

Choppa, So are you just suggesting that I find the right wires on the back of the head unit rather than possibly splicing into the back speakers?

Remember: I have the stock head unit. Im not sure, but i assume there aren't any RCA jacks on the back of it.

ohh and if your talking about the music input itself there should be inputs on the back of your cd-player if not time to upgrade...
they should be red n white inputs on the back or at least one of em should be red

if you haven't already, the piece you need is an sni-35. you will need the 35 because the speaker inputs you splice from are amped. yes use the speaker inputs off the back speakers, the power supply and ground are completely separate. you will need to run bat. to trunk for your power, i recommend nothing less than 8guage. you need to ground to the body, better if framed, but body will work for just a low pass amp. make sure you scrap the paint off the trunk floor for the ground.. use a multimeter and find the switched power(power only on with the key turned) on the factory amp. splice it for your remote.
pm me if you have more detailed questions. i am mecp cert. installer
