my friend works as an installer at best buy. he gets ridiculous discounts in the store. i was like damn. he got my an ipod case for 14.99 when price was 32.99 which is like somewhere round 60% off. if i wasnt getting paid what im gettin paid at this job i wouldhave defenetly gotten a job there
I hated best buy because they would rather hirer some one who has no idea what they are doing so they can pay less then someoen who has all the training that knows what there doing because they have to pay them more. best buy is greedy!!! some of the things they have they put 150% mark up on
Damn your lucky iamthechitt, it is better to be busy but theres always a $hitload of people in our store asking us all these dumb questions so it sucks sometimes, thats awesome how you guys are getting eclipse I wish we got a better brand than RF or alpine which are not that great, we do get really good discounts tho, we only pay 5% above cost.... an timmygt your right best buy hires people that dont know what the hell their talking about but those pepple usually dont make it....

So I am an installer for Best Buy and I keep getting cars that come back because the other two excuses for installers keep on #$%@__! ing things up like not putting connectors on ac controls, cigarette lighters and so forth, and not to mention that customers are you usually irate. Like today for instance.... Some kid comes back with his cavalier because he cant pick up radio stations and if any of you guys know what is going through my head, I am thinking some dip#$%^ probably didnt plug the antenna in and all you have to do is pull the radio out right? Wrong... you have to tear the whole damn dash apart to get the radio out. so I do it, and sure enough the damn antenna is just chillin all by its little lonesome. Any of you guys want to come down to Fl. to blanket party some shisty instalers?
You guys got it easy, back in the 1970's when I started installing Stereo's we had to do it in the parking lot.
I don't take anything to Best Buy for the very reasons you state. Unfortunately kids aren't held to any standards these days it seems or these cars would never leave the shop without being inspected first.
I feel for you though, having to have to clean up for someone else sucks big time.

i still was installing out of a parking lot unitl about 1 year ago we finally got garage at work.i install for a living and i get alot of best buy and circuit city f**k ups there are some good installers at those stores but not many . im not bashing on you circuit or bb guys
1fastzook: yeah, some stores have terrible installers, it just depends on the store i guess. I know we had a guy from another store come over and couldnt start the car he was working on. I took one look and realised he had the car in gear(automatic).... It was kind of funny because he had been bragging about his MECP certification and how he went to some installation school... lol My store can doesn't do a lot of custom work because we do not have the time. But everything we do is done right... unless i was out drinking all night the night before.
