This morning real early I heard on a 'Wall Street Juornal' typr radio show that CITI bank was going to offer GM $15 billion for the GMAC unit.
I think that GM may take it too so they can stay out hock for awhile....

hell GMAC is probably one of the bright spots for them like ford motor credit is for Ford. it actually makes money.

Not likely, GMAC is worht more than that, if GM can't do it alone, either a Nissan merger or a government bailout, rememebr the Feds saved Chrysler and Harley Davidson, and at the time Harley's future looked worse than GM's does now.

Wow! One of the first times I've seen someone with accurate information in one of these GM bashing threads!

What do you expect on a Ford Mustang site? Love and kisses for G.M.?

No, God no, Not at all. I expect it from pretty much everyone here. It's got nothing to do really with GM in general. Everytime I see something about another brand, be it GM, Chrysler, or Honda for that matter...It's almost always wrong. Poor information is what annoys me. Bash GM all you want. I have a Ford, a GM, and a Chrysler. Doesn't mean a thing to me.

right...just because its a mustang site, that doesnt mean that it should be packed for of misinformation about anything non-Mustang.

BTW, GMAC was sold several weeks ago or more to a group of 'private investors'.
That really made sense, sell the part of the company thats making you money in order to keep turkeys like production going in south america (Brazil).
I know that Delphi is also now for sale and the Red Chinese are after it as they already have several plants in China anyway.....

They sold 78% of the GMAC corporation. Which includes auto loans, real estate loans, Ditech.com, GMAC Realty...In order to raise cash to dig themselves out of debt.

See again with this misinformation. What makes some of you guys think you could run a multi-billion dollar company any better?

I read todays local Tucson and the story about GM was that they have all sorts of cash in the 'hourly' employees retirement fund but none in the 'salary' type employees fund.....
I really am beginning to wonder what is information and what is 'dis-information.......
I'm also beginning to wonder, and have for some time, just what kind of people are running large corporations.
I'm thinking and have for several years that GM is setting itself up for failure.......

Those peeps that always whine about 'unionized to death' most probably think everybody (except them) should work $8 an hour.........
