Well, I was old wrong on the price for the aluminum head. I called the company today and it is $2500. Which I am not about to spend that kind of cash, I don't want it that bad, and I can't afford that.

Well, I found a whole motor out of a 87 turbocoupe from a local guy for real cheap so I am going to get the whole motor, and use the head off of it, and this will give me some extra parts and an extra block like I wanted.

bought an 84 SVO a month ago. $3050 interior was/is MINT. other than the steering wheel. worn on the top pretty bad. was a daily driver. some major dings. (biggest about the size of a penny) bone stock, other than someone putting in a big VAM and 78268 miles. gonna replace the injectors and the ECU this weekend. put in the 86 ones. otherwise, gonna fully restore it. its such a neat car.

I have an 85 and 86 and live near tampa.
There are alot of these cars running around in this area. Thats not to mention 2.3t swaps, turbocoupes and merks.
The 86 is stock save for air filter and 8.8 rear end.
The 85 has alot of mods.

This forum isnt very active someone might have to stir the pot a bit.

Stir the pot? OK

I've got an 85 SVO with 85K miles. Some minor mods, 3in. exhaust, K&N filter, Ranger roller cam, and turned up the boost to 21psi. She runs pretty good, went 14.5@94.8mph. Next comes a FMIC and T3/T4 hybrid.

I don't have an svo anymore but I used to have a full svo moded all the way. Stage 4 port and polished heads bored 20 over and was pushing 24 pounds of boost. anyways I wrecked that car pretty bad so I am trying to find a nice one that I can spend some money on now that I know how to handle the car.

Ummm, I think that you may be in the wrong place. This is the SVO forum as in the SVO Mustang, not svo fuel.

Sounds like a deal to me.  Can't hardly beat $6500 for a basically new car.
