Last night was a slow night for the most part. As I headed home I was on the highway and found a import crew that was headed out for a race. It was a six lane highway and I had never been in a three way race so I sped up to get a lane. The race was between a Honda SI and Vtec Integra. I pulled up in the next lane and they just looked over.
The light turned green and I just took off like regular and cruised at 3500 rpms. The Civic just gave up!!!( I later found out that he got beat by the integra earlier so I guess that is understandable) Just after I shifted to second, the integra took off. I gave chase and he actually didnt do bad. It took me until the mid to top of third to start pulling. When I did, I PULLED. At about 100-115mph, I passed him.
Next, we were cruisin on the highway and his crew came up behind us. We then ran from a roll. He took off again while I was in third at 3500 rpms. This time I just walked him like he was still. No problem at all. I really would have thought that on the topend, the integra would have been stronger.
We then stopped and the guy turned out to be an ok guy. I guess another kill for my stang. I really wish we could have gone from a dig w/o me coaxing them out. That would have been real fun....I guess just for me but oh well.
