Default 05 Mustang GT

I posted this question before and never got an answer. Really need to understand how this diablo predator works. I got a CAI for my mustang. My wife got it for me. The one she got would not have been my first choice but its the thought that counts. I have the MAC stainless steel straight shot air system. I installed it and in a few miles check engine light came on. Banks 1 and 2 running lean. So I was told that I needed to adjust the cars computer since I was getting more air it was causing car to run lean. So I ordered the diablo predator. I plug it in to my car and go through and install the 87 performance tune for the 05 GT. Everything installs fine and looks like it is working. However the checkengine light came back on. Now my question is I am pretty sure I need to get a different performance tune as I dont think the tune on the predator takes into account my CAI. So my question is where would I get a tune like that. I have checked out DiabloSport web page and dont see anything particular to the CAI I mentioned above. Any help or advice would be great. Thanks

Go onto the diablo sport website... go to your specific car... and select the cold air calibration canned tune section... You can download the tune right off the web-page. Those tunes are not perfect but they should be fairly accurate fo the CAI.

If you email predator tech support from their website they may can tell you some parameters to change to better fit the 87 tune. I asked a question and got an email back in less than two hours.

Or another alternative is to take the vehicle to a local dynometer tuning shop. Some of them have dealt with Predator systems and they will be able to analize the AFR and even tune the AF ratio in the diablosport to match the CAI.

The canned tunes that come with the system are very conservative. I took a client's Predator system, changed the global timing and was able to see a drastic improvement on the rollers after I tweaked it a bit.

Good luck
