To all the GT owners out there who are reading this and are upset. There is ALWAYS going to be someone better than you. The ROUSH guys dont piss and moan because GT owners modify their cars to be faster or better looking. The SALEEN guys dont piss and moan cuz the ROUSH or GT or V6 guys, or anyone for that matter, hop up their cars to try to "compete". So what makes you so upset that a V6 owner would try to even slightly emulate (copy) another mustang that isnt even top of the line? I dont get it. Grow up, get over it, you didnt build the car yourself and neither did we.

will

Excuse me Will but it’s not all GT owners we have lots of allies in the GT crowd. It’s only a few MORONS with v6 envy. You know the ones at the party that use Ron Popel hair spray and have large gold chains to make up for other short comings.

Wow, this thread refuses to die all because of some kid whose parents bought him a GT. LOL. When you think about it, that is pretty pathetic. And to my other stang brothers out there, I know several of you that are in school (HS or College) that work 2 jobs just to have the 6 and my hats off to you. That is dedication to the Stang community.

have you driven a v6 at night? Have you tried making a right or left hand turn? If you have you will understand why we like the GT fogs. As for the Dual exhaust, it just looks and sounds better. There are plenty that say people who buy the GT buy it because they are trying to make up for other shortcomings. For some of you GT owners, that may be the case, but I am not going to go to a GT post and say that. It is the exception not the rule. The mods i make, i make because i like the look. Most of us do our mods for the same reason, but their are some who do it to try and trick an idiot into thinking their car is a GT. Truth be known, the only people who know the difference between the GT and the V6 are the ones who own them and the ones that sell them. People ask me all the time if mine is a GT and i have no mods. I think we should just all worry about what our own personal taste is and unless you have some constructive critizism, keep it yourself.

I cant resist replying to this. Tom, I think you hit the nail on the head. Why else would he boast that Accord with the decal on the hood.

Well I was going to try and keep my comments constructive but it seems like we're going at it again. Miller, I don't understand the whole situation either.
$22,773 - 05 Mustang V6 Prem
+ $375 - GT foglight grill
+ $949 - GT Bumpers
+ $655 - Dual Exhaust
+ $3,300 - Vortech SC
= $28,052 - Price of the GT
If you have only done a few of these mods, you are well on your way!
Where did you get this ET you V6's are talking about. These numbers are real: GT = 13.6 / V6 = 15.4. 1.8 seconds is an accomplishment in 1/4 (about 6 car lengths). That's an increase of about 60-70whp. I guess my point is: you'll spend the extra $5,000 to make your V6 as fast as the GT (w/out sprayin').
I really don't care about the performance spectrum of the 05 Mustang. It's the visual area that gets me going.
I just don't understand this. GT bumpers - fine with me. Dual exhaust - ok. GT grill w/ foglights - crossing the line. Someone please explain it to me.

Haha you sir are an asshat. Here is the problem with your post. You say with the s/c we are close to the price of the GT, which you are right but down in your post you say GT=13.6 and V6=15.4...you failed to mention the gains from the s/c that the v6 will get. Heres why I have a V6, because i have a car thats good on insuarance, decent gas mileage and i have the money to modify it. Im not the same prickhead that owns a stock GT...yeah my car is slower but at least it stands out in a crowd. WTF are you doing in hear anyway? You dont see me in the GT section saying your heavy POS's, stupid stock mustangs, i think the optional fogs look like as, etc. etc. etc.

Back to the original topic.. anyone here purchase anything through Cascotech tell me how much it cost to ship?

They have great prices for already painted bumpers and such, but I'm sure shipping will kill the deal.

This has got to be the funniest post I've read in a while. GT, V6, blah blah blah. Isn't this a group of car enthusiasts? So... one guy decides what bugs him about the other guy's car? Is he paying for the mods? Personally, I think the pony grill looks better than the GT grill! I also like the Mustang rocker stripe and ordered it for my car! Maybe I'll even put the 4.0 emblem on the back to "fool" people into racing me. LOL.

On second thought maybe I'll just remove all the pony emblems and replace them with chevy bowties!

It all comes down to its just what the person likes personally. I myself thought about putting on a GT bumper cause I was worried that the driverside cut out would not look good plus I was getting the bumper repaired for about $500.00 so I thought I'd look into it, but after I was told I needed the side panels and front chin spoiler just for it to look right I thought "nah my cars not a GT" screw it and I just had trust in the shop. Im not one for putting on GT parts but if thats what gets your jolly's off then do you. I personally would go with a body kit made for the V6 if I was going to add any cosmetic but Im more the sleeper type. I like it to look just like it came off the lot for those rare times when you pull up to a Import or another Stang or what ever and hes all decked out under the hood and cosmeticly, he just thinks Im some guy who bought a V6 and thinks its fast normally the way it came off the lot ( that gets my jollys off) Smoke em, leave em thinkin " was that stock" "No I raced one before, that can't be stock" lol thats what does me. Plus it makes another mans balls feel a lot smaller when we lose ( its just a fact) dont care how old you are. So when I beat the pants off a dude with his girl in the passenger of his all fast and ferious fixed up civic or stang what ever, his balls really feel small cause my car don't look as cool or as fast as his does yet it blow his %$&#ing doors off. lol. Plus when your cars really decked out like that it looks faster than it is most of the time. I would at least have a SC or TC before I even thought about making my car look like it puts down 260-280 at the wheel but usually the case is they have bolt ons like us and just want to look cool.

But hey like I said in the begining thats there style. It's all about being yourself anyway & personalizing your ride.

By next year I'll be blown for sure, running all kinds of ups, and O I have a GT Style body kit. Why? I hate the huge license plate spot on the V6. I'm going to be running GT Mufflers, with an H Pipe, eventually goin to either Loudmouths or American Thunders, so I need the rear bumper, and the ****ty side rocker skirts suck ass compared to the style and elegance of the painted/metal GT ones.
