Can anyone give me the specifics of swapping an auto tranny for a manual for a 89 5.0?  By specifics I mean estimated cost, time, difficulty, what is involved in it, what parts do I need?  Also does anyone know where I might be able to find something on the web to help, like instructions?

thanks, that did help. I'm assuming I would have to cut a hole in the firewall for the clutch pedal? Could I use any of the Auto tranny's parts?

I got in an accident with my 4 cylinder, which is a manual, is there anything I can get off it? I know some of the parts won't work due to the fact it's a 4 cylinder.

Not worth the effort IMO. Go buy a $2000 beater with a manual. I got my 88 for $1500.

Not enough money for that. Student loans and what not. I am gonna just buy the stuff part by part then change it after I get all the parts together.
