Hey, I finally got my Moser 9" and the wet kit I was promising. What can I say.... Code3GT, your car looks awesome from the rear, especially the plate. I bet you get to play a lot.

I think I saw that pic in GM High Tech Performance. Is that one of Ronnie Duke's cars? I can dig the issue out later. BTW Code, what did you run in that vid? It looked like you took out the SS pretty easily.

Thanks 98. Yeah, I don't know why the LS guys have such a problem with it...LOL I have had them chase me down. I am trying to think of a new plate for the new car, if I can ever decide which car. I have it narrowed to 3, but will most likely end up the Z06.

Dude...Do you own that drag strip or something? I've never seen one that empty.
It was a late sunday evening test and tune. The had already had test and tune on Friday and Midnight Madness on Saturday. Not many folks had shown up any way and most had already packed up to go.

i meant to comment about that too..at most of the tracks that ive been to..even on my small national circuit, they DQ you if you do that, unless youre in the sub 8-second class...

When you go to test and tune or Midnight madness at this track they treat the less than 7 second (1/8 mile) cars different than the > 7 sec ones. They actually keep everyone else out of the the best line to keep it dry from radial tires. Sorry, you were not impressed, keep in mind it is just a project for an old man and two kids that had never even changed their own oil before we started. Yes, I was driving, it was the first time I had run it with race fuel and used the race tune, I wanted to make sure the tires were hot.

i wasnt making fun of you, ang...sorry if it came across like that...just commenting that many of the tracks that i have been to dont allow that....and i meant less than 8 seconds in the 1/4...but hell..if my car would rip the wheels up and go liek that...i would do pro-style burnouts too!

You have to understand this was a test and tune when most cars there were running > 8.5 second 1/8ths. Had it been race night, and we were in competition, things would have been different, as it was, the owner of the track told me just before the run if I could light it up, please go for it. After the run, the track owner asked if we would make another run or two just to get the front tires up.
No, I have 3.55. the idea was 2nd gear for 1/8 mile and 3rd gear for 1/4 mile. I know, you should pick one and do the best you can for it but, my "boys" wanted to run both 1/8th and 1/4 as we have both types of track with in an hour of the house. Now that we have the "block splitting" issue (>700Hp), we will try shifting at 5000 and using 3rd grear in the 1/8th. If my calcs are correct, we should be able to run mid 6's @ 110 not exceeding 5000 RPM. Meanwhile we willl decide if we will transfer these internals to a Dart block or if we will just start over with a 351 block.
