i did the swap and it read incorrectly, but im pretty sure if u get an actual 140speedometer(not the plastic piece) then it will work perfectly

It will work properly if the speedo is an actual 140mph speedo and not a re-covered 85mph speedo.

The only way to change your speedometer to 140i to buy an actual speedometer not just one of those covers.

get a real speedo, it's just a straight swap....clean and simple.

ps - why the reverse?   --  I know when I'm in the UK it's ok, cause I'm driving on the other side of the car/road hence the needle goes from me to away from me which makes the peripheral annotation that much more simple.....which is why here in the states they read from left to right   ---

Not reverse as in the numbers but as in a light up reverse looking speedo, and no not ricey either not in my car, i seen it on another mustang thought it looked cool, and it kinda gets old when i'm out having fun and the speedo being way past 85mph letting off the gas and looking down at it waiting and waiting for it to get back to 85mph, but i more then likely i'll get a 140mph speedo and then while i'm doing the swap from 85mph to 140mph i'll do the reverse glow effect also. thanx for the knowlege

indiglo.

Sorry man but there's no way around it being ricey.
Just limit the rice and you'll be ok. Just say no to the A-pillar mounted .5-lb fire extinguisher and the monster tach (unless there's a good reason for it, such as the stock one not keeping up with your motor)
