Default ? about x-pipe an CAI

Hey all I'm new to the forum but a long time fan of the STANG. I,m currently in the process of buying my first pony I,m going with a Black w/silver stripes 06 w/Pony Package and a 5spd. I have a very good list of mods that i'm looking at getting nothing to fancy just the usual, FRP 3.73 gears, FRP T-Lok, X-Pipe, Dual Flowmaster American Thunder muffler's, C&L CAI w/SCT2 Tune, and then just some apperance mods and some time a little later I'd like to get a Procharger and BBK headers. The ? I have though is first which is the best X-Pipe I should go with I,ve been looking at a few and can't decide on which is the best any recommdations out there, and second which is the best place for me to get a C&L CAI w/ SCT2 tune. Any other stuff you guys can reccomend would be helpfull Thanks.

Haven't researched the x-pipe yet... i'm still running a single exhaust...

I have the C&L and love it... I recommend Lidio from Alternative Auto (www.alternativeauto.com).

I would say skip the ProCharger... go with something else... Vortech, Explorer Express or Powerhouse Turbo...

I just had the muffler shop do one up for me for about $50.00. Any one should do, a magnaflow or flowmaster x pipe or h pipe is the same as having the muffler shop make one for you. As long as they use good stuff and bend the pipes right your not going to get much (if any) extra power or torque from using magnaflows or flowmasters piping lol, its the muffler that really counts and gives you all the power. Unless your car is nearing 20 years of age and the exhaust is all rusted and banged up from being bottemed out so much(like my 85 camaro was) then it would make a hella diff. So all I would worry about is getting the muffler's you wanted which would be the American Thunders and just have the shop do the rest. probably be cheaper too meybe.

Just my opinon (exhaust wise)

Oh and Screamin why would you skip the procharger? I thought the procharger was one of the best for its money.

My '06 GT came from the factory with an H pipe. It is about 2" long, if that.

If an H-pipe is ok with you, you might already have one and then just have to change the mufflers out.

Mine sounds very good stock, so I'm leaving that part alone...

I realize this is a very long thread but http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=40434

My understanding from talking with the guys who know and i completely trust... this is a typical example of how ProCharger works... when I told them about this poor guys hassles, they were not surprised at all... One guy told me that's exactly why he stopped carrying Prochargers years ago and now does the Vortech thing...

Now I'm sure there are people who are perfectly happy and satisfied with their Procharger... to them I say great! But I think they are the exception not the rule...
