i got a 94 5.0 with gear dive it sounds kinda cool but at idle the is a ticking sound kinda sounds like a header leak, but it goes away when you rev it, it only does it when the motors worm, i think. my car guy said its just the gear drive, he said they bring out sounds in the motor you might not have heard with out them does that sound right?

any takers??

might be a sticky lifter or something.

i say either a lifter or a rocker arm

it's not the gear drive...any idea what the oil pressure is when it's warm

i only have the stock guage but it seems shot, when your at 3000rpm it stays about 3/4 up and its the same at idle unless the revs go below 600rpm then it drops to red, i think the guage is just crap.
