Hey guys,
I'm new to Mustangs. I had a V6 for about 3 weeks, then I upgraded to the GT. Is it just me, or is the V6 laggy? I mean, it seems like it wants to go, but it doesn't. I even put it to the test, up against my old Honda Accord V6. Both were automatics, and the mustang jumped the line quicker, but the Accord was gone when v-tec kicked in. At 90mph, the Accord was ahead by a length and a half. You'd think, it's a full Liter bigger, it could go when you want it to.?
Anyways, I got the V8. Love it! But I've I guess I was just curious why everyone has V6's and they want dual exhaust and a foglight kit. Next thing you know, they're wanting a 4.6L swap.

I got the V6 for fuel economy and insurance reasons. I am only 17, my insurance is crazy as it is. The pusstang pissed me off so much that I just said, "**** It", and I got the GT. Problem Solved.

Its all relative! I rented a v6 Mustang before I bought my GT. I thought it hauled ass. Of course my daily driver
was a 4 cyl. Camry with 330,000 miles on it!

the older model Camry is by far the slowest car Toyota makes. I raced a friend of mine when I was at a dead stop and he was coming up on me doing about 25-30mph. He passes by and I still ended up beating him through the intersection. So yeah, a V6 mustang would be the fastest **** on earth compared to the Camry...

Dude, you really didn't have to tell us your age...we already have guessed it.

You really need to lay off of the V6 crowd. Not everybody's daddy can buy them a new GT.

Doesn't the Accord have like 244hp?

...and I agree, no need to bash the V6.

Yep, the new accord is pretty snappy. Much better then when I owned it. They have a 6 speed manual that runs the 1/4 in 14.8, though someone drove the hell out of it. I've seen an manual 6 banger stang do 14.7, but it is interesting how they stack up to us.
