I took out one part to see how it would look. I painted it using the Krylon Fusion Plastic paint about 3 coats and 2 coats of clear coat. After it dried i scratched it with my fingernail to see how it would hold up and it scratched off. I was wondering what i should do? More paint, more clear coat, wait longer for paint to cure and dry, wait longer to pu clear coat on? Can anyone help? I have a 93 mustang.

how many cans of paint did it take to do the entire interrior? I dont want to be in the middle and have to run out to the store. You dont sand the vinyl right?

how do you take off the center part of the steering wheel. i have a 2000 3.8 if that matters, a just want that part off to paint,l but also is it just as easy, since its not hard plastic?

CruisinGangsta -> RE: Custom Interiors (7/30/2006 6:06:40 PM)

Hey ive done most of my door panels but you can still kinda see the old color inbetween the 2 sections.is it the dame for you guys also if you get close? also i took off the carpet cause i thought i was going to spray it another color but does the carpet look alright sprayed?

CruisinGangsta -> RE: Custom Interiors (8/4/2006 11:10:04 PM)

White_Lightning_313 -> RE: Custom Interiors (8/9/2006 3:23:12 PM)

I need to know what tools I can use to pop out the panels

White_Lightning_313 -> RE: Custom Interiors (8/13/2006 7:31:37 PM)

so i guess you all use telekinesis to remove the panel???

CruisinGangsta -> RE: Custom Interiors (8/14/2006 12:36:11 AM)

just a falt head screwdriver to get the black plastic on at the bottom. take off your bezel by screwdriver. then there some screws holding the controls. umm i then take out the cup behind the door handle. then jsut lift up and over to get the things out of the grooves that hold it. if you need a spefic question i tihkn i can remeamber. i jsut did mine and it looks really cool

CruisinGangsta -> RE: Custom Interiors (8/14/2006 12:36:54 AM)

though i wasnt for sure how to get the door handle off so i left it grey but i really want to spray it if i know how

White_Lightning_313 -> RE: Custom Interiors (8/16/2006 4:18:23 PM)

U can buy seat covers but what about the carpet

ryan1994mustang -> RE: Custom Interiors (8/16/2006 6:04:04 PM)

you can buy all new carpet (no mats) for about $100 most places. check out www.mustangsunlimited.com or somewhere like that.

Sickspackstang -> RE: Custom Interiors (10/15/2006 7:09:32 PM)

cruisin gangsta, if you take the door panels off and look at the handle you will see its held in with a rivet, simple drill the rivet, paint and then re-revit it back on. sand these good and give them extra clear coat.

beastzilla02 -> RE: Custom Interiors (11/3/2006 7:21:54 PM)

i wouldnt do that bcuz when u sell the car ur gonna have to lower the price...plus the interior looks nice the way it is.

bransdaman78 -> RE: Custom Interiors (11/3/2006 10:08:21 PM)
