I read somewhere it would have 320 HP, but I was hoping it would look more like the concept.

been to the autoshow and having had a 68 stang i miss the vintage look. i think they've done a good job combining the two era's.

The 05 GT stang will have a 300 hp 4.6 3 valve motor. Its similar to the 04 F150 5.4 3 valve. Should be interesting how they respond to tweaking.

i heard the engine will be in the upper 300HP area, or atleast that's what they said on the detroit show(tv). Uhmmm... also, i thought the GT was getting a remake of the 03-04 cobra engine minus the supercharger. This is what i heard since they are dropping 05 production of the cobra to make room for the 06 "Shelby Cobra" limited edition v10. It looks nothing like a mustang and has no roof(i've seen the concept).

gt WILL have 300 hp 3 valve motor and they ARE NOT dropping production of cobras, it will be back in 06.

ever heard the thing if you cant say something nice dont say anything at all? they should change it to if you cant say something true dont say anything at all.

PS everyone and their cousin has seen the shelby concept, it's not like you're the only one.

First, the new GT engine is a complete remake.

Second of all, the Shelby V-10 is a concept vehicle and probably not be the '06 Cobra. The SVT team has been decommissioned for a few months, until they have a handle totally on the '05 GT. They will come back later this summer to work on the '06 Cobra.
