be very afraid if he's upped the boost
There running 15 psi STOCK......that's unbelieveable....A stock or lightly modded 5.0 stands no chance against one.

SRT's are fast stock, and they're stupid-easy to modify. You can roll into just about any Dodge dealer and fork over a stack of $ for a stage 1 kit that bumps power up to 240hp/260ft-lbs, stage 2 and 3 are "late availability" so who knows when they'll hit, but they're 265/285 on pump gas, 280/300 for 100+ octane race gas on the stage 2, and stage 3 is 300/300 on pump gas.
And that's not including gains from exhaust work.
And it's from DODGE!
It'll cost me about $4500 to get my Jetta up to 290hp/300ft-lbs, but it's my daily driver so I'm not going to bother.

nobody said pos, but so many other cars put down 500 too. it's like the first woman in space...yeah, its still cool to go in space, but so many men had already done it before her.
riiight...it's a completely different situation. Thats the first I've seen an Srt4 make 500 hp. Sure small block V8s have done it, but they've been doing that since the 60s. This isn't a small block V8, this is a 2.4L inline four.

would you two quit bickering all over the place like a couple of schoolgirls after the same guy? Please.
There are two things wrong with the SRT-4
1) It's a Neon, and as such it's made by DaimlerChrysler, and therefore has suspect reliability.
2) It's FWD. Lots of cars are FWD, but true driver's cars drive at least the rear wheels.
But it's a Dodge, and has ma mopar behind it, so it's wicked cool.
I wish my Jetta had a real limited slip differential, instead of the EDL which senses a 100+rpm difference between the front wheels and grabs the fast one's brake to even it out.

I ran into one last nite. It wasn't even funny how bad I beat it. 20deg nite from a dead stop spinning 1st and 2nd and still put 2 car lengths on him. Everyone I have run into has not impressed me. Everyone of them I have beaten.
BTW it doesn't matter how fast it is, it is still a neon. My grandmother drives one

haha not everyone wants to race all the time. If you beat him thats cool, but I've had people take off on me like I was racing them or something...hell I even had my sign on my window when I was working and someone took off like we were racing...lol
An SRT4 is NOTHING like any of the Neons for sale...different engine, transmission, rims, body kit, hood. The only real similarity between a Neon and SRT4 is the body style itself.
I test drove one of those and wasnt impressed at all. It handled like a 1994 honda accord.

Really? it pulled a .92 on the skippad, the 03 SVT pulled a .95 on the skippad, both are impressive considering the setups.

Really? Where did you get those #'s? There just seemed to be too much body roll. I just finished a WRX testdrive and the stiffness in chassis was NO comparison.
