About 4-5 months ago, I started painting my fox body('87 2.3l).. well, stripping it apart and sanding everything. The rust isn't too bad(Suprised, it was kept outside forever), I just bought the car 6 months ago...

Anyways, I'm thinking about painting it Lamans Sunset, A lot of 350z's have that color. I like the color, but have no idea what it would look like on a mustang, what do you guys think? I've got the body kit & hood off of a '82 GT that I'm going to use. Oh, yeah... And I'm also going to throw the '82 front end on, instead of the 87. I like the 4-eyed look better.

I was sanding on the passanger side and found some bondo, I checked it out and it's all smooth, but a friend(The guy that's gonna paint it) thinks we might need to sand it all off and make sure the body is as straight as possible... What'cha think?

I'm gonna go with black interior, an idea was to swap with 95-98 interior, anybody know how much work and trimming is required?

When I make some type of progress(I work day & night, so i dont have a whole lot of free time), I'll try and post some pics for your viewing pleasure.

Anybody have some tips/adive that might help me along the way? This is my first paint job, and its moving along slowly.

Thanks..-Bob

remember, you get what you pay for with a paint job

as for tips, the only one i can give you is wait to wax the car for a while, i would wait

6 months

the paint and clearcoat will need time to "settle" and cure
