theres cheap brands out there and for these that price would be a rip off. and if the box lights up i can assure you they are cheap.

ok. maybe this will help. when looking for subs, the most expensive you can buy the better basically you get what you pay for. except for like the new sonys and rockfords they are all looks. the amp isnt too much of a worry, you can buy any amp with the desired power you want. in my personal opinion, kicker makes great, hard hitting bass. they run about the same price as any other name brand sub. and they last longer. as far as an amp get a decent wattage with a decent price tag so you know your getting your moneys worth. just remember what everyone says "you get what you pay for" . hope that helps you out

actually the box makes more of a differnce in how hard a sub will hit. and usually you look for some subs that you want then you get the power to want to match to them just dont have a figure in mind itll mess you up on a sub search. and for kickers they have always had problems with their subs self destructing and sound like ass

ok well kicker is garbage? my rockford p2s couldnt even take the wattage i was throwing at them. and the kickers seem to stand up fine. if i put my system up to 13 with the sum level at 27 the tv in my living room shakes. if i put it on 10 with sum at 30 and bass at 8 candles shake off my table. and this is parked 20 feet from the front of my house.... so i dont know what u are thinking but give em a try. =) o and thats only 2 12s and a 15

Default RE: Best 12" Subs / 400 watt amp - HELP

I have two 12" JL Audio W3 version 2 subs powered by a 500W JL Audio amp in my 2005. The bass drowns out the stock speakers a bit (highs and mids to be upgraded in the futue). Other than that, the system hits beautifully.
