i just got a 94 gt 5.0 with 113000km the cars bin awsome but its got gear drive on it. its loud as f, but i was wondering if i should just leave it or change back, will it kill the life of my engine. and if i should change it is it a big job? thanks

why would it kiil your engine?

it just a gear to gear instead of timing chain. they are really good, will never go bad, and sounds cool too.

yes it's a big job.

no its not hard on cam bearngs, not changing oil is hard on cam bearings, they sound almost like a s/c its kinda kool. guy down the street has a timing gear set very accurate timing i might add.

It has been said that they are bad for the harmonics in the engine, but just like anything else, use it if you want to. I have one in my truck and have had no problems so far.

Agree with Magiarn about the harmonics.
I also don't think that it's ever been proven that there is any HP increase in an unblown, gas engine either......

it does sound cool but it also makes all the sounds of the engine come out too and im not to crazy but it, im putting a s/c on it in the spring and 3.73 are going in right now, so i guess i will keep them for now and see if the s/c drounds out the sound. thanks
