Suspension on those 67s weren't that great.....come to think of it they sucked....so get the good stuff under that 67 and go munch...there's alot you can munch on if the suspension is right.

I gotta tell ya....those 64-71 mustang years were just beautiful. Maybe when I grow up I'll get one.....  :)

As I understand it, a "restore" is putting back all the original TYPE equipment that it came with....  --  sup it up!...  get the nice working suspension, get the nice engine mods.....even better....make the outside look like the original, make the internals work as the moderns.  ---  that would be kewl.  --

I agree. I would much rather fix it up to be bada** on the street. You can do enough work to it to make it look nice, as well as be fast. Oh, and by the way, nice car whitehawk.

I have alot of work to do on that baby, I'm trying to put together a nice suspension system (streep/track/strip) that'll make it handle nice and a nice engine strong enough to take low gearing, around 3.08, so I'm gonna need a nice high torque bottom end and really nice HP on the mid-high end.  Then it'll do pretty much what I want.  after that comes the interior, totally new AND I already have a dash/console/display in mind that is totally different but way functional. Door handles will be shaved (like my girlfriend...<wink wink>) and hopefully I can put it on a serious diet and make it light --  I think the s**tty paint job is going to stay....I like ugly cars that perform.  ---

ps - has anyone ever heard of fiberglass hatch with plexi-glass?? --  man that hatch weighs a ton...if I can find a FGHatch w/plexi it should reduce the weight by alot.

StangLover and SVT03....thank you for the compliment.
