higher the elevation the thinner the air. . . the slower you run

Im in the great white north at 1200 ft
Closest strip is actually at 2200 ft
What you think the difference would be?

Who ever started this thread should put everybody's times in order from the fastest to slowest like in the 4.6 section.

Here is a link to my first run ever in this car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T51Gd2eFkYc .  The weather was crappy and there wasnt much track prep so all of the times were slow.  The best I could get out was a 13.65 (that was on stock tires without udp).  I also had, and still do, a problem shifting into 4th too soon (its an auto and you can hear it bog down).  I think my only hope to fix that is some 3.73s.  Last weekend hotter, but better weather, better rubber and the udps I ran a 13.5**.

The track is here in Stockholm, Sweden (Tullinge Raceway), really don't know what elevation it is, but I'm not guessing it's that high, since all of Stockholm is by the water!

Tullinge is known as a track with very good grip!

I run on 95 octane here aswell, since that's our "standard" fuel here!

What track and what were the conditions:
Elevation?
Temperature?
Humidity?
Wind?

Based on the fact you were 100% stock and had a full tank of gas
plus some additional weight in the car a
13.9 @ 100.1 isn't too bad, especially in the heat of summer.
I'd venture to say too, that your track is not at sea level either, since
few are.

Nice run for the first time during summer.

Svend Karlsen and Magnus Samuelsson rule!

Nice Mustang Jocce.

I ran my car at the track for the first time yesterday at Bradenton Motor speedway in FL. I ran a best 1/4 mile of 13.838 @102.34 mph. I was happy with that time. I think I could have gone a lil bit faster but it was good for how hot it was outside.

I just got back from Mustang Week and I ran at Darlington in the heat again.  It was 93 degrees when I decided it had cooled enough to make a pass. lol. I ran a 12.21 @ 113 with a 1.71 60ft.  I had my ET Streets on and I have installed the swaybar delete and some roush lowering springs for the back.  I figure any help the sway bar delete gave me, it was offset by the roush lowering springs.  I ran a pass in the heat on the street tires, but only managed a 1.85 60ft. with a 12.68 @ only 107mph.  The bottle petered out on that pass though, so I was spraying fuel on the top end.  That's why the mph was so low.  I was a little dissapointed in my traction, but I have only added the strange shocks because I busted a stocker on a mad wheelhop burnout.  So I did improve, but only a tenth.  The air was crappy, the heat was bad, and the humidity was awful.

When did you run that 12.21?  I thought that bottle went dead when you were racing me.

It did just spray fuel on me after right at the 3rd gear shift, I only ran 107mph that pass.  No way I could get in the center console to turn it off while we were going at it, so I just let it spray air and fuel. lol.....but.....
I had two bottles.  I switched them after we raced.  You should have stayed.

On a '03 GT 5 speed manual, What tuner is the best. Xcal2, Diablo , or Hypertech. Other  mods are Typhoon CAI, UDP, BBK LT Headers, o/rh-pipe no cats, Slp loudmouth2 mufflers, FRPP 3.73 Gears, Autolite XP, and Hypertech Power Programmer. I run Nitto NT555R drag Radials, and I switched to Mobil 1 Full synthetic oil.         With the right tune what kind of ET should I get.
