If you already have the roushcharger then go get yourself a high output tune from superchips or any respectable tuner. That and get higher psi belts and you could easily gain a 100 horse for the cost of a few hundred dollars
I think you mean he should get a smaller blower pulley to increase boost, I've never seen a gain in boost from a belt change unless the belt was slipping.

Maybe when the warranty's up. Roush is very clear on their warranty. If you touch it, it's void!
sorry if this is in the wrong sub-forum guys, but i need to ask a question. I'm thinking about getting an 06 v6 stang, but i had a few questions first. First of all i was wondering if anybody knows a good source for v6 parts...i cant seem to find a place with alot. I was also wondering- what is the best upgrade path to get a v6 into low 14's. do i need to use a blower or turbo to get to low 14's? if so...how safe is a blower on the v6 engine? i wouldnt go above 6psi just because i dont want to bust up rods, but would i need forged rods to run this kind of power reliably? If there is another way to make around 250whp without forced induction (including nitrous) that wont cost me an ass load more, what is it? thanks guys.
O.K. so I am now more confused than I was before I read this thread. I am going to do the SC thing in the very near future and I have about 7k to spend on Kit and Install. I am talking to the guys at JMS performance in Lucedale MS as I have seen and heard good things done by them. Any one know anything about them that I should know before I hand them the keys?

Got my Roushcharger installed two days ago on my auto 06 GT and everything is going as expected. The install by the dealership looks factory. I need to get my car dyno'd and post the results.
I installed a Procharger on my buddies 05 last week. The install went fairly smooth taking a full day (12 hours ish) We got it tuned at MD Motor sports in Cincinnati (Ken), it made 432rwhp and 402tq. Pretty good #'s for a "safe" tune.
I had a Procharger on a 96 Stang that I used to have and I have one on my boat, I think it is a quality product. But my 06 is going to be roots or turbo, I'm ready for something different.
We installed a procharger on two different Mustangs over a weekend. The installation went pretty much as planned. There were two install issues that we brought to Procharger's attention. There were two very misleading instructions. On the inner cooler the lower LH mounting stud was welded at an incorrect angle. I believe both issues have been taken care of. For detailed pics and notes on our installations, click here. http://pypesexhaust.com/gallery47.html
The install looks sweet! I've got one question though with regard to the Air Intake on the Black Stripped Charcoal Mustang. The air cleaner is pushed into the back of the engine compartment and is still completely under the hood. Isn't that going to suck in a TON of hot air and thus hurt the efficieny of the boost system and possibly cause detonation?

I didn't realize the dealerships would/could do the Rousch install. I assume by having a dealership do it, you didn't void the warranty....? How much did it set you back$ ?
I really want a procharger kit for my 2006 GT, it comes with 39 lb/hr injectors, air to air intercooler and 8,9,10 psi pulleys, i plan on using 8 psi because I like to stay on the safe side and use the 9 psi limit for 9:1 compression ratio engines, the 2006's are at 9.8:1, so anyways my question is, is there anything that i should do to make sure my engine runs as smoothly and saftley as possible? i am also thinking about some hydrolic roller cams. thank you.

The Warranty is a 3/36 drivetrain warranty provided by Roush. Dealerships seem to have a wide range of installed pricing, but the kit itself is around $5600. I have heard dealer-installed pricing anywhere from $5600-$9000. The Ford dealership nearest me sells cars brand new with these units installed and usually has one or two on the lot at any given time. Check out http://www.fnsweet.com/forums/index.php for lots of threads on this topic. Several guys have done the install themselves, one being "Tooltime" who posts here sometimes.
The Saleen blower has been in for just under 2 weeks now, but I will go ahead and post these pics. Even though I stuck with the stock 4 lb Saleen pulley, this thing pulls like a freight train. Can't wait till I get some better rubber under the wheels so I can see what she'll really do.
I didn't buy a Saleen because I couldn't find an Automatic. I can't drive a stick. I was wondering if my auto will have any trouble with the added power or if they need beefed up. Thanks, WC

Not at all man. The auto's tend to make a little different power from a blower than a manual, but they can handle it just as well. You have an auto and want a supercharger?.......go for it. The only way you should worry about beefing up your engine is if you're looking to end up with close to or above 500rwhp. Stay in the low 400's with a solid tune and don't get too crazy with the boost, and you should have no problems with your stock bottom end and drivetrain.
proctoman...........i settled on a roush. great driveline warranty....low lbs prssure..clean installation. i called roush in michigan and had them explailn the warranty to me...no catches...go to roushperformance.com and check it out
believe me, check out roushperformance.com.....can't beat the warranty on the driveline. plus with the low boost pressure ( 5-6 lbs ) less wear and tear on the engine in the long term
alll i know is the engine can't take much over 8 lbs boost and / or 450 hp.........that's why the roush is so good. 5-6 lbs boost and 115 hp......check out roushperformance.com

Nice job... Who did the install for you, how/what was used to do the tune and did the kit come with a new airbox, or is that the stock one with the cover off?
What about MAF/throttle position calibration? Any issues there? My 281SC kind of likes to keep reving after you take you foot off the gas between gears... It takes a bit getting used to. My daily driver is a tuned twin-turbo Audi S4 and when you let off the pedal, the RPMs drop faster than the 4.6...
