Was wondering how legal taillight covers are? And how much the brake lights come through or just the red lights at night? I was thinking of getting these.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-MUSTANG-TAILLIGHT-COVERS-BLACKOUT-FILM-96-98_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38661QQitemZ8029015322QQrdZ1

I like all black.

I'm pretty sure they are just charging you $20 for a sheet of tint.

PM emann0007, he has tailight covers on his car, his are differnt than those....but im sure he can give you some idea on the amount of light that will shine through.

I believe they are illegal.....they aren't safe....think about it, making it harder to see a person brakin. They are sweet looking though.

I just noticed that it said that it doesn't cover the enitre taillight because of the curves....so light will be shining around the border

I recommend you look for something else....

Like I said, PM emann0007

yea i had them things, i didnt like them so i went with the gts full covers. as far as i know they are for
"off road use" only. but i mean cops in my town are d***heads and they dont bother me so i dont know. they go on and off easily with like 3m velcro stuff its really good. i put 2 bolts in them to make sure they dont go anywhere. and i used them license plate bolt cover things to make it look like a part of the taillights. just make sure you drill the cover bigger than the bolt thread lol i went through 2 of them before i realized why it was cracking lol
