Default funny noise from weld rims

Got a Question dose anyone know why i might be getting a creeking noise from my front rim. i have weld drag light rims but for some reason i get this noise so i was woundering if anyone knows what might be going on.

i got drag lites,,they don't creack,,but i do know you don't want to over tighten them ,,it will distort the center ,,it has that alum center peice,inbetween,it i seen some that corrorded real bad ,holds water up in it .,,in wheel wobbled a bit,, .sorry.....<edited><editID>hotrodman</editID><editDate>38025.9943634259</editDate></edited>

are they the ones intended for street application or for offroad use only? if they are for offroad use only, there completely too weak for the daily driven purposes. you could possilby cause damage to the wheel adn the car.

they are the one's for the track. but the noise just started and has gotten worse over time.

well that could be a problem. offroad use only rims are only intended for that application. since theyre not made to take the abuse of driving on normal roads. you might be ruining the rims using them on the street. theyre not setup to take the abuse of the streets

if your lugs are working loose on welds it will start as a small creeking noise and will get worse over time, check those lugs.

Default funny noise from weld rims

i have the weld skinnies and i had to grind the head down on the caliper bolt becasue it was causeing that noise and engraving the inside of my wheel, also 86 is right welds are bad for the lugs working loose, i check them with a torque wrench every wek, they back off about 8-12 ft lbs a week. hope this helps
