Default 3.55 or 3.73s

i own a 94 Gt andim thinking about getting some gears. I've been looking at 3.55's or 3.73's, i want to gain some low end, and some top end. I was wandering if either of these improved both, or do either of them decrease top end. If anyone could let me know i would appreciate it.</P>

Gears dont necessairly improve only top or only bottom end, they do it all. I've had the same dilema for a while about the 3.55s or the 3.73s. I chose to go with the 3.73s because although I do do some highway driving (at 80MPH you're doing close to 2600 or so RPMs) it was worth it on the street. 3.55s are fine, but a manual wiht 3.73s is perfect for our years. I'd go with some FRPP 3.73s. </P>

Oh, and I have a 5 speed if your wondering. 3.73s work just fine with AOD too.</P><edited><editID>95Stealth302</editID><editDate>38025.9919328704</editDate></edited>

wouldn't it be better to go with 4.10's in the aod? that's just what i've seen on here. my friend's got 4.10's in his 5-speed 96' gt and it's really not too bad. different tranny i'm sure...but still. when i get my stang (foxbody 5.0) i plan on 3.73's...good all around.

I would use a 3:90's in an automactic and yes when going up in gear your top end will be lowered
