Default New Stereo

Im looking to ad a new FM/AM Radio with a CD player, I decided to keep the orignal AM radio in the console for looks, and get one of them Secret Stereos. Now I was wondering if anyone has bought one of these? And what's some good speakers to get for the front? And then I saw in a parts catalog I can get rear speakers, what would the best bet be there? The ones I saw were rear subs with a 200watt amp. Now I am a teenager, and I love to blast my music. So Im really looking for something that will blast some good ol rock and thump to some new beats. Suggestions?

I suggest doing like i have done. Im 17, and love to blast too, even though im deaf now...... I installed a Kenwood 200 watt Cd player under the dash, where i can reach it. Doesn't look to bad. Then get the kick panels, for speakers, and buy any good name brand speakers. I have got pioneers, and aren't too please, but they have high wattages, that the radio cant push. I have two 4x6 speakers in the rear package tray, and 2 12 inch subs and amp in the trunk. IF you want trunk space, i suggest gettting the thing you said. I have seen that, and it's not a bad deal.

I always thought it was a good idea to put a hidden cd player in the glove compartment, that way you don't have to rely on a remote.

Can you post pics of your setup? And how you got the cd player mounted?

I just had a VERY expensive system installed into my car. I have 5.25" speakers in custom speaker kickpanels up front. 4"x10" speakers to fill in my rear. I have two 10" subs in my trunk along with two amps (1 for speakers, 1 for subs). I have my alpine cd headunit under my glove box. It looks pretty stealthy there and is semi-reachable if I need to access it, but I use a remote mostly. To get it under the glove box I used this

Damn, I got some pictures for you, big there too big in size to load onto my picture page. Tomorrow, Ill post the pictures. Are you looking for anything in particular? I got two pictures of the radio, and a pic of my trunk. You want anything else? i didn't get up close shots of the radio, and how it's mounted. If you want, i can try and get a better picture of that too.
