Default 4.75 backspacing what does it mean

i am about to buy a set of 17 " TT2s and everyones says u need 4.75 backspacing for them to fit what does this mean im guessing it can be spacers because they are measured in inchs and 4and 3/4 inchs is massive.

It means that there needs to be 4 3/4" space between where the lugs connect to the inside (back) of the wheel.

Backspacing is normally a function of the wheel's fabrication. However, spacers can be used to compensate.

No the distance from the back to the hub. Different wheels have different "offsets". How "deep" in the wheel the hub center is.

Backspace is measured from the back of the wheel.

Offset is measured from the center:
