I'm looking for input on how exactly to install the new pony grille with fog lights, wiring harness, and switch? Also, I bought pony package emblems to go on the side of my mustang. Where (exact messurements) do these go on the front fender? I recently special ordered a 2006 Mustang V6 convertible and didn't know about the pony package at the time of order back in 2005. Now, I'm going to make the switch, but need assistance. Please help!
I added the "pony package" to my 05 V6. Ordered the pony grill package from Charlie at West Coast Performance Parts. It included the wiring harness, and GT fog/headlight switch. Installation was easy and cost $359. I bought a take-off front GT sway bar from Saleen delivered for $45. I ordered a convertible rear GT sway bar kit from my Ford dealer $225 shipped. I finally eye-balled placement of pony badges, which turned out darn close to factory placement as seen on lot. Good luck on your project, it'll be worth it.
the placement of the emblem is not that critical. If yoy cant find a pony car just get a gt and eyeball the placement.
take me word for it once those emblems touch the fend with that sticky side they are stuck, you only get one shot. so place a pice of tap at the top edge of where you want the emblem and make sure it is level then stick the emblem just below the tape
You've probably already mounted your emblems, since you posted on the 11th; but, I had the same problem as you, so I went to my Ford dealer and measured the placement. The top of the tri-color bars are 4 3/4" below the belt line, and the trailing edge (right side of the driver's emblem, left side of the passenger's emblem) of the tri-color bars is 5 3/8" from the trailing edge of the fender. Hope this helps.
So far I've only fot the emblems. The dealer gave them to me when I purchased my car. I'll probably get the grille and fog lights from the dealer or on e-bay.
I recently purchased a 2005 Mustang, but because I couldn't find a manual with a pony package anywhere I got it without one. This is the first addition I want to make on my car because I think it looks really good Cayuse mentioned a lot of other additions he bought when adding this package, other than the emblems, and the grill and kit what else do you need to order? And since I've never worked on a car before how much would installation run me?

Well, the Pony Package wasn't available until 2006, so if you were searching only for a 2005 with Pony Package then yeah, you weren't going to find one.

Are the vertical links (sorry, don't know the tech name) on the rear sway bar painted white?
I always look at this area when behind a V6 pony. It's a good sign if the car in front of me has the Pony Package.
