Well as you can see it wasnt the greatest of weekends for my stang. I guess I still should post these deathes. Friday night, I go out and cruise w/ my bro. We meet up w/ some SWEET GM cars. Vettes, SS, Firehawks, etc. I feel extremely outclassed but it is all good. I raced one of the SS Camaros awhile back and gained a lot of their respect from it. Well toward the end of the night, an LT1 Camaro guy comes up and wants to race me. We go twice from a dig and then go to the highway for two hits at about 30 mph. I got beat all four times unfortunately. At best I got a little jump on him and he hunted me down from third gear. Amazingly, I seemed to pull somewhat from the top of third into fourth. I didnt think that I would do that to an LT1. Guy was real cool and we talked some afterward. He says that he has run 13.7 at the track and we both ran w/ one passenger. I normally lost by about 2.5 car lengths. What do you think that would put me at??? I was thinkin the 14.3-14.4 range if everything about his track times is true.

Fortunately, tonight I decimated a Honda Hatchback that was askin for it. Got the confidence up a little. I was runnin a quick hit on a lane that looked like Normandy Beach while he had a billard table lane. I still easily put a lot of room between us. About 30 min. later, we lined up again at the same area, and this time he didnt REV his motor AT ALL. Just looked forward and drove. hahahhaaha

Those are my races and sorry for the long post.

13.7 would normally be roughly a 103 mph trap speed, which is about 150 ft per second. 2.5 car lengths is about 37 feet, which at 150 feet/second is exactly .25 seconds, so I would guess closer to 13.95, assuming that you guys ran up to around 100 and he was only 2.5 ahead.

Since he drives a mustang, id have to say so. But i guess realistically the way he talks he seems to be on no side. Which is how it should be.

If you were talkin about me, you are right. I love my mustangs and all mustangs but GM has some sweet cars too. Some I like and some I dont like. I dont think I would get a camaro but some look sick. I could always use a 5.7L LS1 Trans Am though. I will however always be a Ford guy. GM is good but I like my stang the best. They run real quick but hopefully after a round of mods, I will be right up there w/ stock LS1s then...
