hey i just installed the chin spoiler recently on my 02 and have some feedback for anyone attempting to do that project themselves.

im probably getting one this week... they come black right? is it a gloss black or just like primer black? and does that old black deflector get to go in the garbage? please tell me it does

there more of a flat black, but with sum shine can be made shinny in a min.

very easy install, and looks very good imo

they are flexible i assume, i am going to paint it and suggestions on a type of paint? since its flexible?

NO! Dont paint it. Leave it black. As for the other deflector, it stays on. No need to remove it. You wont see it with the chin spoiler on.

I just installed mine today. I didnt like those push pins, and I also lost them. So I went down to the hardware store and got 1/4" 20 thread bolts and matching nuts...all galvanized. It was probably a tad more effore then the push pins but that fugger aint coming off.

Yes! It looks good with all colors. Dont forget to get the grill delete too.

That's what I did as well. I have a few of the pushpins still in there, but mostly have the bolts. It was slipping out of the holes just from driving around, I didn't want to risk it falling off.

I wouldnt recommend painting it especially if your car is lowered or if your going to lower your car cuz youll scrape it right off... what color is your car blue or black? itll look good no matter what....
