I have already seen a post and I thought I would get up a quick post to clarify any confusion about who I am. First of all, I am Boyd Coddington Jr., Boyd Coddington Seniors eldest son. I am not affiliated with Boyd Coddington’s Garage or Boyd Coddington Wheels. I was a 50/50 partner with my dad in both the hot rod shop and the wheel shop up until 2 years ago when at that time, I sold my half of my business to my dad and if you watch American Hot Rod, there is no need for me to explain why I decided to sell out my half of the business. After I sold the business, I went to work for Weld Wheels in Kansas City, MO. I have known Greg Weld for about 15 years and I had always admired his contribution to the aftermarket wheel industry. Knowing I could have gone to work for anyone in the industry, I had been watching Weld as a competitor for years and knew, Greg Weld was pioneering now, what would be the future of the entire aftermarket wheel industry and in short, Idecided togo to work for the worlds finest forged wheel company. Enough said. On to the good stuff...the Weld Racing “Pony Express” 2005 Mustang GT. My main focus when I built this car was the introduction of Weld Racing’s new one-piece forged wheel the Forgestar that we built specifically with the Mustang in mind. • Working from inside out on the Mustang, the first task was the installation of a complete ProCharger Supercharger to maximize the mighty Ford’s V-8 power capabilities. The ProCharger is an amazing system, it is by far the easiest way to bolt on an instant 180 horsepower. • Delivering fuel to the fire I put a full Aeromotive Digital Fuel System. Along with the fuel system upgrade, Taylor Vertex supplied the ignition wires to create a hotter spark. • To further maximize the Ford’s power, a full exhaust system from Borla Exhaust was bolted up to give the Mustang a distinctive sound of aggressive power. • Moving onto the suspension, the car was lowered with performance coil over springs from H&R. I knew the only tire package that would grip the road was BF Goodrich rubber and stopped by Baer 13’ Brakes. The overall look began to take shape as the Mustang was then fitted with our new Weld Racing Forgestar one-piece forged aluminum wheels with a 20x9 on the front and a 20 x10.5 in the rear to handle the power. • To go along with the suspension, power and overall aggressiveness of the Pony Express Mustang, the entire car was shot and covered in Dupont Custom Finishes Black and Red paint and then accented with a gold stripe to give a clean finish to the tu-tone paint scheme for an overall eye-catching attention getter. • The Pony Express's exterior then became the focus where a front and rear Roush body kit was be fitted and smoothed out and color matched to the paint scheme. • Creating all the custom billet aluminum enhancement products for the exterior and interior was be left to our very own Weld Racing R&D department • The factory threads were updated with some help from Corbeau. The stock rear seats were utilized with custom black and red leather to continue on the exterior tu-tone paint scheme. Pony Express Summary • Total build time to complete the project was 30 days • 20x9 and 20x10.5 Weld Racing Forged Aluminum one-piece chrome Forgestar wheels built specifically with the Mustang in mind • 255/35-20 and 285/30-20 BF Goodrich Tires Front and Rear • Custom Black and Red Tu-Tone Paint mixed by Dupont Hot Hues Custom Finishes • Complete ProCharger Supercharger System • Complete Digital Fuel System from Aeromotive • Ignition Wires will be installed by Taylor Vertex • Complete Borla Performance Exhaust System • H&R Suspension Lowered 2-inches Front and Rear • 13” Brakes from Baer Brakes, Inc. • Complete Roush ground effects body kit installed and painted matching paint scheme • New designed custom one-off billet interior pieces by Weld Racing R&D • Custom Black and Red Corbeau front seats • Complete custom installed MTX Audio and Video System pony-express.jpg

But what if, despite their differences, #2 loves his pop the way I love mine? I wouldn't want anyone calling my old man an ass, even if he clearly is one like #1. Just a solidly funny post, man. The nerve. I love it!
