ive been having this idle problem for a while now and its aggrivating me. when the car starts it idles pretty good and voltage is kinda ok.... but after i drive it and stop at a light or something it idles low and my voltage goes WAY down. it kinda feels like it creating a miss to. anyone ever have this problem or know anything about it????

have you tried to adjust your idle? or checked your throttle position sensor?(should be set at .98x)
do you have under drive pulleys? or an electric fan?, i have both and had to put in a '94 mustang
130 amp alternator, my idle wasnt a problem just charging volts

Along with what Marx91 said, check and clean the IAC and the MAF (assuming you're fuel injected since you didn't state what year/model).

yeah your idle air contorl valve could be bad as well

do you have underdrive pullies..I have a small idle problem with my idle and a pro -m maf when the volts are low...due to my pulleys

you didnt say if it was a fox or sn-95 with a 302.

I'm actually having the same problem since I did a MAF conversion from speed density. Any ideas were to begin looking?

this happened to mine..i have UDP's and my bro just raised my idle and it runs great
