Default Newbie from Bay Area - 2000 GT

Hi all my name is Denizen and I'm new to the forum. There's a lot of mustang forums out there but I've just joined this one as it seems to have a big community.

I have a dark green 2000 GT with around 58k miles. It's the "fancy" version with leather seats and mach sound system. I've recently invested a lot in new Goodyear Eagle tires and slotted rotors and ceramic brake pads. Man, my pocket book is hurting but it really has improved the handling and it's well worth it to feel safer with good brakes. The car is in great condition but there's some things I want to learn to do myself and that's one reason I'm here.

The headliner (and the pain in the butt sunroof) is all messed up and so I'll be looking for information on that. Also I have an interest in getting a better suspension because I want the handling to be excellent. Of course like many people I imagine, I would like to do some cosmetic changes like maybe a different paint color, different headlights and tail lights, and wing modification. I'm unsure at this point how ambitious I am about modifying the engine. I have only just glanced at cold air intakes in the auto parts store. All I know how to do is change the oil! Although it is a point of pride for me that I know how to disable the seat belt 'minder ;-)

Welcome!! You'll learn a lot here... I came along and knew very little about modding a car but now I know what mods serve what purpose and all that jazz.

Settle in and get to know us, we don't bite.

Thanks for the Welcome! Hey how do you like Fresno? The reason I ask is my b/f and I have thought of moving there before but we're just thinking of places right now... just thinking of getting out of the Bay Area is all.

xRockThePonyx thanks for the Welcome!
Do you work on your car yourself? If so, what have you done to it? =)

fresno is cool, housing is so cheap compared to the bay area....i really liked it alot, and still only 2 hours from the coast (monterey)

i lived there for 5 years...moved there from MI and then back to michigan in july.

look in the champlain/perrin area in NE fresno....off friant road and ca-41 area.

thats where i lived and the cool part of town...newest and nicest as well.

summers do get a bit hot, usually about 100* every day, and sunny w/ nice eves about 75-80*

winters are typical valley winters...foggy and cold, about 50* w/ lows overnight around 35-40*

No effing way. I live right off of Friant in Woodward Lakes. REALLY close to Champlain and Perrin. Such a small world...

That's why we're considering moving, mainly because of the housing prices here are just so outrageous. Hard to move onto "stage 3" relationship when you can't even afford a place to live.
Thanks for the info. on Fresno.
