Default 2005 mustang v6 vs 2004 v8

From some of the consumer reports I read I have seen that the 2005 v6 mustang is fast. But it did not compare the speed with the old 2005 v8.

I am debating buying a 2005 v6 or a 2004 v8.

If anyone knows, please let me know.

Whereas the 05 V6 has 210 HP, it's the torque of the V8 that will win out every time. If you get a brand new 05, you will have full warranty. Plus there are more performance parts becomming available for the newer V6's. But still, the V8 will eat the V6 with it's torque.

Stock, the auto 05 V6 gets to 60 in 6.9 seconds. I think the 04 V8 gets there in about 6.4 seconds (depending on your source, of course). It'll take a little work to get the V6 to that level (with gears, I think I'll be in the ballpark... have to wait until next track season to see). I think the 05 has the handling edge on the 04. Stock, the 05 will give a 5.0 a good run.

v8 all the way. I'd get a v6 for something to play with, maybe add a turbo or twin-turbo. But with bolts ons and torque, go with the v8, plus you'll still have a warranty on a low mileage 04GT.

but the 04 v8 already has tons of aftermarket performance parts available already.

Yea that's 0-60 in 6.9s with a really good driver, factory releases were 0-60 in 7.2-7.5s with a manual and a decent driver, so if you miss a shift, it will be higer, but go with the 04 if you're looking for speed because that 04 already has 260 hp and a nice torqe ratio, the new V6s are nice, but still can't compare to a V8, well unless its an old 5.0, and even then its a little iffy.

Everybody loves speed, and i do too. But the 05 bodystyle is too hot to pass up man. Get the new one.

well my opinon is the SN-95s look better than the 05s, however, someone, i think its rpm outlet or something like that has an 05 into the low 12s with just a turbo and other small bolt ons.
