I am hoping like hell I can rent a V6 Mustang to drive around in Vegas while I am there!
I'm going to miss my baby!..
I'd be happy to excercise your Pony while you're away!

To answer about my numbers (sorry, have been busy):
The owner of the local chain of Ford dealers here (3 dealerships) has been good family friends with us for awhile. He was in our business the other day and we got to talking. He said that he's sold 70% 05 GTs while in the past it was 30% GT.
Don't know if these numbers hold nationwide, but I remember a news piece in Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords said the same thing...

hmmmm......well....since I don't think ford has released any 2005 sales numbers/ percentages. I believe those numbers are very very wrong. I believe the demand for GT may have been 70% to 30% V6......but production was most likely 70% v6 and 30% GT. However.....ford probably realized after a few months that the GT demand was much higher than they anticipated, but by then it was too late to mass produce because by then EVERYBODY who wanted a GT ordered on the WAY THEY LIKE IT, and ford had a whole bunch of "special orders" on their hand. So in the end i think, the V6's that were produced will be sold and the sales numbers will probably not be like the last years but will definitely not be 70%GT, 30%V6.!!! The end

We were just in Las Vegas earlier this month, and while I'm not sure about the price, there are a bunch of V6 Mustang convertible rentals in Las Vegas. You might want to call ahead and reserve one since they appear so popular. You can tell the rentals from the personally owned ones because the rentals have a bumper strip on the doors.
While you're there, stop by Margaritaville and have one of the 100 oz margaritas!!!

+1 on demand it take 6 months to get one out here.
So far all that is known is that there is at least one prototype and SA and WCC both are working on how they will produce multiple versions, provide warranty support, etc. The WCC V8, at this time, is only scheduled for a 25 unit production run, so if you are interested, get on the list now. Hopefully, though, if the demand is high, they will produce the car in the same manner as they are for the CS6, so you can take your existing '05+ in and get the conversion any time you like.
