well sunday night my friend took the liberty of smashing the ass end of my camaro into a telephone pole, my insurance company declared it a total loss. tommorow i should find out how much im getting for it. just thought you guys might like to hear about a chevy getting trashed. she was a rare camaro, and she will be missed......

Sounds like he was having fun with it and spun out, if he smashed the rear end into a telephone pole. Sorry to hear about that. Oh, and by the way, don't be expecting to hear from the insurance tomorrow! When I wrecked my 1992 mustang it took about a month for me to finally get the settlement. Insurance companies really like to jerk people around. Sucks doesn't it--- Pay out the butt for insurance, and the insurance companies still treat you like crap?

Sorry BC, that really sucks, and they are rare. I hope you get all the money and find another one. I own a '93 5.0 and a '79 vette, and I know I'd be one pi$$ed off guy if something like that happened to either one. I hope your friend wasn't hurt (in the crash), but I do hope he has his tail between his legs after you got done with him.

well... as far as insurance it's settled. i'll have the check within a few days, im only getting about 3 G's. the guy called me up and told me how he got his figure and he was gonna mail a check etc.... they've (geico) been pretty quick and straightforward, no bulls**t. my friend was driving down a bad road in the rain, and lost control. he tried to straighten out the car as he headed towards this guys yard, but it didn't work. he ran up over the curb, hit the guys mailbox and slammed into the pole. he spun around after he hit the curb, the guy who's front yard he was in said he'd have hit it head on if not for the curb. he also said his mailbox gets taken out 10 times a year. the cop told me the same thing, a bad spot for accidents. he felt really bad, but he took responsibility for it, and he's paying me my deductible. that's why im not mad. if he had been drunk or doing something stupid i would have been pissed. im not sure how this is going to affect my SRT-4 deal, im going to talk to the dealer tommorow. if i have to pass it up, the mustang gets 17x9/17x10.5 cobras as soon as i get the check. we'll see what happens this week.

got the check today put it in the bank. going to the dodge dealer after work to look at the neon i put a deposit down on and try to work a deal, the car gets there today. wish me luck guys.

solar yellow. i called the bank about my warranty reimbursment on my 97 camaro, they refunded the full amount. my bank rep told me to stop in today and see him, he swears he can get me the loan, and find me one cheaper than msrp. this dealer wants 2G's over. they are running out at the dealers, and they are jacking up the prices, i just found one advertised for over 25G's. so, we'll see just how good i am, and how good my hook ups are.

I've decided to pass on the SRT-4. because of my crappy credit i can only get a 15G loan, and although i have the cash to cover the difference, i'd have to sell the mustang instead of trade it in, to cover the negative equity, and give em damn near all my money. and i'd have to stay in the army a few more years to pay it off, and i dunno if i wanna do that. so tommorow the 00 cobra R's go on. maybe some head work and a cam as well, im researching a good combination for that. any suggestions would be nice.
