I changed my 72 convertible's 8"rear end from 2.79 to 3.50 . But as you all know my speedomter is way off. What do I need to do to get the right reading. I'm sure it can't be a big deal.

i did the same thing in my 68 with a set of 3.55 gears all you have to do is go to a speedo shop and should be an easy fix, it was for me

National Parts Depot has speedo gears to match your rearend gearing. They're cheap and easy to install.

Go to www.cjponyparts.com they have all of the different gears you will need all you have to do is swap them with the ones on your speedo cable.

I had a transmission shop change mine when they rebuilt my tranny. I told the exactly how much it was off.
