I got the cheapest package so it only has a one year warranty. If you get better packages you get better warrantys.I think the next package up is three years and so on...

Awesome man, if I had a beater, I would get macco to paint it.

No reason to spend a shizz load on a paint job, mod it for power now!

You have to pay extra to get the door jambs, under hood, and under trunk painted.

It does look good. There's nothing really "wrong" with Maaco -- it's just a case of you get what you pay for. There's a reason the Maaco paint jobs only cost a couple hundred bucks, as opposed to $1000+ for a really good job. Mostly, I've heard that they just do significantly less surface prep and do a quick couple of shots with the spray gun. That holds the hours down which keeps the cost down. The downside is that the paint just won't last as long as it would with a more expensive paint job.

Think Outback Steakhouse compared to Ruth's Chris. Both have steak, and the Outback isn't bad, but it ain't no Ruth's Chris.

7 years ago i had my 1966 Chevelle painted at Maaco and the paint still looks good. not bad for $350. if body panels needed to be replaced or repaired then maybe i would of went to a smaller expensive shop but i figured if all they had to was give it a light sanding and paint then $3-4000 is not worth it; especially when my 40 year old trailer queen still looks good. good luck at with your paint job.

besides it's not rocket science

We used to have an 70-something pontiac lemans... my dad buffed and primed the whole thing, and had maaco give it the basic paint job. Super high gloss navy blue. Absolutely GORGEOUS turnout... the guy who painted the car liked it so much he threw in an extra coat of paint for free.... man that car was sexy... it needed some underside work and sadly my dad sold it before I got into cars.... woulda been my hot rod

I may take my 97 to maaco and see if they can do my rear bumper

My neighbor got his 66' coupe painted for about $1400.00,it included minor body work, jambing it and they didn use a clear. What they have is called a "integrated" clear, so its mixed into the last coat of paint, well fast forward a couple of years, rust is comming through and the paint is really dull and turning white on the top surfaces. It was lookning really bad, so i spent about 2 days rubbing it out and now it looks halfway decent. But i would never recomend them unless your gonna sell it.
