Awesome man, if I had a beater, I would get macco to paint it. No reason to spend a shizz load on a paint job, mod it for power now!

ORIGINAL: Steeda1716 Whats so bad about Maaco i think its looks really good It does look good. There's nothing really "wrong" with Maaco -- it's just a case of you get what you pay for. There's a reason the Maaco paint jobs only cost a couple hundred bucks, as opposed to $1000+ for a really good job. Mostly, I've heard that they just do significantly less surface prep and do a quick couple of shots with the spray gun. That holds the hours down which keeps the cost down. The downside is that the paint just won't last as long as it would with a more expensive paint job. Think Outback Steakhouse compared to Ruth's Chris. Both have steak, and the Outback isn't bad, but it ain't no Ruth's Chris.

7 years ago i had my 1966 Chevelle painted at Maaco and the paint still looks good. not bad for $350. if body panels needed to be replaced or repaired then maybe i would of went to a smaller expensive shop but i figured if all they had to was give it a light sanding and paint then $3-4000 is not worth it; especially when my 40 year old trailer queen still looks good. good luck at with your paint job. besides it's not rocket science
