First off, these forums are awesome and im glad I finnaly registered. I just bought a 1998 Atlantic blue GT and I love it. But everybody in town seems to want to race, and I dont want my ass handed to me. My GT is stock, but I,ve already noticed that its a little bit faster with the colder temperatue here in the rockies. I havent raced anyone yet, but I've been challenged by everything from a Civic to a Firebird. So my question is, what do I actually have a chance against?

First take it to a private road or some where with low traffic and work on your launch. Once you get that down, practice on some civics and work your way up. I think you will gain respect win or loose. But you didn't hear that from me. Glad you got a Mustang. Be safe.

Welcome to the forum and lots of fun with the Mustang, lots of humor and sarcasm too. If you want to spend some $$$ you can beat alot of cars, keep scanning the posts and you will see how you can get your GT screaming fast!

That's not very nice, man. He's really serious, help him out or don't say anything. What a way to welcome someone new to the forum.

Im just tired of 16 year olds pulling up next to me in Hondas wanting to race. Im pretty sure I can beat most of them, but alot of little rich kids around here have alot of money under the hood.
