i posted earlier about o/d light blinking and it not shifiting right. well i took it to ford and they drove and put a pressure test and show no second gear. they said that they have to tear it apart to figure out what is wrong. what should i do? i know i have to fix it but they said it will prolly be like 1800 dollars should i just buy a new one?

my advice, if u can find a new one that is close to that price, get the new cause once one gear goes, the others will follow sometime in history.

Take it to a reputable tranny shop. When i was doing a turbo setup i had a fully built A4LD built for right around 1,000 but it was so damn far from stock and built to hold some power.

Dealerships will bend you over and screw you hard.1800 is way to much.
