I was trying to figure out the outcome of this race.

My 03 GT has these mods:
CAI
Full Exhaust - Offroad Xpipe
Dyno Tuned with Predator

His 95 Cobra only has exhaust.

How would this race turn out?

Yes, they are rated 240 hp. They usually put down around 210 hp to the wheels in stock form.

5.0 Cobra's were very under rated. They rated them at 240hp. GT's were rated at 215. How the hell does a 5.0 with GT-40 heads, and upper/lower intake only pull 25 extra HP?

Ill post a dyno sheet of one putting down around 250 with full exhaust.

What was your final RWHP number?? When you say full exaust, do you mean long tubes, x and catback or just a x and catback, (or shorties?)

Stock i think they run about a 14.2 or a little better, which is the same as your car stock...

stock for stock those cars both run close to 14.0 flat. If he is really stock except for exhaust (you should assume he is in decent tune) the only real difference is your CAI. Im not sure that thats a big enough advantage to wager on.

If youre sure he hasnt gotten gears, suspesion upgrades, a cam, or bolt-ons or anything else it'll be a drivers race.

If he hasnt taken care of his cobra you'll also probably win.

Whoa that is a small amount os power for a 5liter V8, plus they are pretty heavy

if the cobra really is stock then he is full of weak ass mid 90s hippie smog sh1t. That's why those cars were not that fast and that's why those 5 ohs responded so well to mods. They couldn't breathe.

The Cobra is also over ten years old and could be a very high mile car. He might only have about 200 hp left in that thing.

Equal drivers, my money is on the GT.

intresting way of putting it about the hippies and everthing. if he put on a o/r h or x pipe he has definately freed up a lil bit of hp since they come with 4 cats on them but i agree with mike its bound to have soem miles on it
