Welcome to the forums!

I'm interested in springs for my 02 GT. I want to drag race starting this spring so I want springs that will promote straight-line traction. However, I'm tired of the off-road 4x4 look. I'd like my front end to be an inch to an inch and a half lower. I don't like the phrase "Depending on the weight of the vehicle it may lower it slightly" that are in the description of most drag springs. Are there any springs you could recommend for me?

The only two brands we sell of Drag Springs are the Eibach Drag Launch Kit, or the Steeda Drag Springs. Both have a similar function... to lower the car, and to promote weight transfer to the rear when launching.

Personally, I dont think they're the best street spring. I do not recommend them for a car that drives on the street mostly, but ocassionally goes to the drag strip. I would far recommend other ways of improve traction over a drag spring, like rear end modifications, rear suspension modifcations, and tires.

The reason why the lowering specs of a drag spring can vary so easily is because they are softer springs, and are more easily affected by small changes in weight of the car, and all the different models (V6, GT, Convertible).

If you want to lower the car, I'd go with a softer street spring, such as the Eibach Pro-Kit, or H&R Sport springs. They are on the lower end of spring rates. Then I'd modify the rear end or get new tires to get the maximum grip. Such as Control Arms, Panhard Bar, Bushings, Torque Arm, Rims/Tires/DragTires/, and maybe get some adjustable shocks/struts, so you can soften up the rear end when drag racing....

yeah the drag springs respond alot to little weight changes, especially when i fill up with gas! i like them though and they are not as bad as everyone thinks. They ride a little stiffer than stock. THe airbag in the back can make it stiffer too. Too be honest i wish the car would lower a little more but you cant get everything you want. The height sits about 1'2 inch lower than stock.
