Default Why not a 5.4?

If there is anyone that has went the create motor route is there anyone that concitered a 5.4 instead of the 4.6? Many parts interchange like heads, exhaust, intakes do require an adapter due to a taller deck height and therefore a wider valley. The pistons even interchange because the difference is all stroke andno bore. This seems better than stroking a 4.6 and only getting 5.0 or 5.1.

I havent looked into it, but have you seen any stroker kits for the 5.4? I am still stuck on doing my FOX with a 5.4 withe the DOHC heads on it. If there is a kit for that I will be all over it. Tax returns are going to be back sometime in the near future and I want to get this car started.

Well the simularitys are that they both have 8 pistons and a crankshaft. Thats about it. But really they are compleatly different. 5.4 is an OHC or DOHC with aluminum heads and a few are aluminum block. There are many differences, but I have to go to work.
