88-95s

~3.0 Yamaha V6s with a 5 speed manual

~3.2 Yamaha V6s with a 4 speed auto

96-99

~3.4 Yamaha V8s and only came with a 4 speed auto

2000+ No more SHOs after the camshaft problems on the 2nd gen V8s. Didn't I already go over this? Might have been on another forum...so if not...there ya go.

My 90 with the yamaha 3.0 litre is bad ass!I couldnt belive it was a taurus when i drove it!Its definately going to be fun to tune it out this summer.Its the 5 speed and to be honest i dont think the autos would be as much fun.I was BURNING the tires off into third gear at only 4,000 of the 7300 redline and the only reason i stopped was i ran out of road!Its a bad ass beater for sure.

No, lol they will burn through 1st-3rd all day long SHO !

From a roll is way differnt than 1/4 mile. A stock SHO vs a stock newer 4.6 would be cool to see, my friend has one and with only a cold air intake,sho shop exhaust, and 73mm maf beats mustang Gt's all day
