I got my gt-40 crate motor around 3500 delivered....from a local delarship that is a FRPP distributor....but this crate motor is kinda of a hit and miss deal...When it comes to power numbers

That motor has a good blower freindly compression"around 9.1"but it also has hyper pistions so low boost and a rich tune will be a MUST with the FRPP x head crate motor.

I would recommend the search feature, however, since I am responding, if you are referring to the 345hp FMS Crate Motor, then does this look familiar?
I paid $3000, plus tax in Long Island, NY. I swapped the GT-40x heads for AFR 165's. I added 1.6 rockers, then upwards to 1.72 rockers. The B-cam was retarded 4 degrees to give more on the top end. I added the Vortech S-trim with 7 lbs of boost. Now I have up to 9lbs of boost with the Anderson Powerpipe.
Dyno'ed the car at Mustang Magic and with a backyard tune I have 390 rwhp and 397 rwtq. These numbers were with the 1.6 rockers and without the Anderson Powerpipe. I would venture to say that I now have well over 400 for both hp and tq.
Mustang Magic will be performing a Dyno Chip and Tune in the near future. I am expecting 470-475 rwhp after all is said and done.
I cannot tell you how great and strong this motor runs. I have not had any problems with it from day one. You can read about my build on website at " http://www.cardomain.com/id/bmnlsc ".
This is the motor as she is now:
By the way, incase you wondering what she sits in,
Good Luck, BMN
