just wondering if anybody knows what its suppose to run
What Cobra R? This is the 2005 Mustang thread, and if I'm not mistaken, they haven't said anything about a Cobra R for the new generation. If you want the times for the last Cobra R, you would be better off in an appropriate thread.

1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R 0-60: 5.2 1/4 mile: 13.8
2000 Ford Mustang Cobra R 0-60: 4.7 1/4 mile: 13.2
2003 Ford Mustang Cobra 0-60: 4.5 1/4 mile: 12.9
I suspect the new groundbreaking Cobra will reach mid 12s easy. Hopefully Ford will throw in an NA engine with some power instead of the baby 281 and a supercharger.
what about the 93 r?
0-60: 6.2
1/4 mile: 14.4
2005 GT times? I'm thinking mid 13s from the factory, that is if the new body doesn't weigh anything over that of the current body.

Well, the 05 is a bigger car, but the drive train and chassis are supposed to be alot lighter. Plus more Hp's, I guess we'll just have to wait and see but I think your right in the ball park.

i read an article about the 2005 and curb weight is supposedly within 100lbs of the previous body style so #'s should be close to what was quoted by i believe motor trend at 13.9 in the 1/4 mile
